Flamingos at Villa Invernizzi
Do you expect to see flamingos in the centre of Milan? No? Yes, and they are just a stone's throw from Corso Venezia. They have been living at Invernizzi Villa for decades. The villa is the house of the founder of the famous Mio cheese which Italian kids have grown up eating.
The flamingos' habitat is partially opened to the public. It does not mean that you can access to them but they can be seen outside the villa. The grand parents or even older generations were from south America and Africa. Their colony is so nice that they would not like to leave. Tasty delicacies of shellfish are prepared for them. A small lake keeps them cool in summer. They always stand proudly on one leg to show off their beautiful pink feathers. Invernizzi Villa is their heaven.
