Ta Prohm

Ta Prohm is one of the most visited sites of the Angkor Archaeological Park.  Its distinctive feature is a ruin in a jungle and temples are occupied by giant trees.  Their roots invade the temple structure.  The complex was not restored to the original state but incorporated the trees as it is now.  One can find information about the site easily.  So, photos are shown here for your preview and impression prior to visiting the spot.  Instead of showing the tree roots, I'll highlight a sculpture face hidden behind a big tree trunk.  Hope you can find it when you are there and be amazed.

Once you are in the complex, you will pass through beautiful corridors into the complex.  Then the views will be commonly temples, sculptures and roaring tree roots dominating scenes.

Stick to your travel companion during the visit.  There are way too many tourists and you can go all directions.  It's a maze.   My companion and I lost each other right at the beginning.  I was almost hit by falling tree branches.  At the end of the visit, I was always looking back when walking towards the rented tuk tuk.  Luckily, he showed up a minute or two after.
